Hello <<First Name>>!

This week’s message is short & sweet first off.. welcome to all the new supporters, we have had a massive influx in supporter sign-ups this past week plus lots of donations to the fighting fund.. due to some feedback about the look of the new newsletter, we have taken this in to account and hopefully now some of those who had trouble reading it last week won’t now…now back to business:

4th February Demo

With their slating of any Labour Council for introducing stealth-taxes, we will descend on Millbank, 1.30pm 4th Feb to ask the Tory Grandees to explain why we should be tempted to vote Tory in the face of such blatant hypocrisy.

There will be a 1pm secret meeting of campaigners heading to Millbank, the location will be released at 12.30pm by either text SMS to your mobile or via the traditional email depending on your preference.

IMPORTANT: Please register for the 4th Feb demo to make sure you are informed, we will be sending out a test SMS within the next 2 hours from the release of this mass mail, so register now to make sure you can receive the SMS. (If you have any questions about this please feel free to contact us here)

For those of you coming from further afield (we have not forgotten you! as we know some of you are unsure as to how we expect you to make it, fear not!), simply ensure you are in the southern (Thames-side) of the borough of Westminster (see map for the vicinity we mean) and you will have plenty of time to get to the rendezvous point.

NB – Wednesday, 3rd Feb at lunchtime will be the cut-off time to allow your details to be uploaded to the SMS service, REGISTER NOW!

Otherwise, please join us as we gather on the westbound carriageway of Millbank opposite Millbank Tower at 1.30pm. Map here.

Please bring hooters, klaxons and banners etc… lest they don’t know we’re there!!!!

Posters for the demo

The following posters will be prominently displayed on Millbank by the River. However, should you wish to bring your own creatively made banner, please do – the more banners and messages there the better.

Banner 1 – Some quotes…
Banner 2 – Danny Chalkley quotes…
Poster 1 – David Cameron

The Law Suit

Our legal team have assured us that the required letter before action was dispatched to Westminster City Council last Friday, and this gives them 14 days to respond after which papers can be lodged with the High Court.

However…..we do urgently need those donations to keep coming in, so please, if you haven’t already given, please donate here.

Our new “Baywatch” information page

With Captain Rathbone (the handle now given to persons who deliberately defaced the signs rendering PCN’s on those bays unenforceable) seemingly running both amok, and closely behind an equally anxious Council hell-bent on replacing said defaced signs, we will be creating a new INFORMATION-ONLY sheet listing all the bays, and asking you to “adopt” a bay that you pass daily en route to work. Once adopted, we will ask you to send in a photo of the Bay’s sign, and update that photo should the sign be altered in any way.

The idea being that anyone can then access this page to get an accurate indication as to where they can park, and perhaps, at their own risk, not pay the parking charge.

We will of course make all efforts to ensure that the dastardly Captain Rathbone doesn’t get an easy listing of bays to attack, and lets hope he abides by this, that cursed fellow! FOR MORE DETAILS ABOUT “RATHBONED” BAYS VIEW THIS TOPIC ON THE FORUM. Share this information with fellow riders.
